JOIN THE POLO SET AT THE 2009 VEUVE CLICQUOT GOLD CUP AT COWDRAY PARK
Tickets for the Finals on the 19th July will go on sale from the 1st May
The Final of the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup for the British Open Polo Championship will be held on Sunday, 19th July 2009, at Cowdray Park, Midhurst, West Sussex. Polo fans from all over the world will be flocking to the event where a host of celebrities are entertained in champagne house Veuve Clicquot’s private marquee. As well as world class polo with the international stars of the game in action, Cowdray Park offers a stunning location for picnics and a fabulous shopping village comprising some 90 trade stands, bars and food stalls. Entry is just £15 per person, car parking free, so pack the picnic basket and head for the most stylish event of the UK summer sporting season. If you’ve never watched polo before, Cowdray’s informed and witty commentary will guide you through all the thrills and spills as the game progresses and at half-time there’s your chance to treat in the divots and spot a few of the celebrity guests at the same time!
The tournament phase of the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup opens on Tuesday 23rd June with around 40 matches in the timetable. All weekday and weekend matches are open to the public and entry is £10 per car to include driver and adult passenger, children under 12 free. (Entry prices change for Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and the Final of the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup.) Quarter Finals take place on the weekend of 11/12th July leading to Semi Finals on Thursday 16th July, and culminating in the Final of the Gold Cup, the most coveted trophy in polo on Sunday 19th July.
